A license-verified home services directory, built on the premise that paying us should never buy better placement, only better tools.

What we do

HomeClip aggregates state license records, Google reviews, and Reddit recommendations into a single 0–100 Trust Score for every home services business in Austin. We're launching with 3,292 license-verified contractors across plumbers, electricians, and HVAC pros, pulled directly from TDLR and TSBPE public records.

Why we exist

Existing directories (Angi, HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack) sell leads to the highest bidder. Sponsored listings outrank better contractors. Negative reviews can be suppressed by paying customers. The result: homeowners can't tell who's actually good, and good contractors get out-bid by louder ones.

We do the opposite. The Trust Score is public. The methodology is public. Paying our Pro tier ($69/mo) gives a business better tools (real-time SMS lead alerts, dispute fast-lane, auto-imported reviews), but it never lifts their position above a higher-scoring competitor.

How we make money

Pro subscriptions: $69/mo for unlimited leads, or $99/mo for Pro+ (adds license renewal automation, CE vault, insurance tracker, one-click renewal packet). Annual plans get 2 months free ($690/yr and $990/yr). Pro starts with 3 months free. No setup fees, no annual contracts and your leads are unlimited and sent only to you, never shared with up to 3 other pros the way Angi/HomeAdvisor do.

HomeClip is an independent company building the trust infrastructure for U.S. home services. We started in Austin because Texas publishes one of the best state-level licensing datasets in the country, every plumber, electrician, and HVAC pro on this site is matched to a verified state record. Founded by Mike Mazza.
